Built from experience.

Shaped by loss.

Designed to help you navigate all that comes after.

The After Loss Company was founded on a simple truth: when a loved one passes, life doesn’t pause. In fact, there’s even MORE to do on top of your usual day-to-day. Not to mention, you’re grieving! There’s no need to navigate it alone, when there’s help available to carry the burden.

We offer practical, compassionate assistance for individuals and families facing the complex realities after loss. With an experienced, steady hand, we help manage the tasks, logistics, and the emotional activities and events so you can take each next step with more space to grieve, remember, and heal.

About the Founder

Kelsey June is the founder of The After Loss Company™, a service shaped by both lived experience and deep professional expertise. After the sudden loss of her husband in 2023, Kelsey found herself navigating not only profound grief, but the dense, disorienting administrative reality that follows a death — accounts, belongings, logistics, bureaucracy, and emotionally charged decisions — all while trying to remain functional in a world that does not pause for loss.

With more than a decade of experience as an executive assistant supporting high-level professionals, Kelsey brings exceptional organizational skill, discretion, and groundedness to complex situations. Her professional background also includes work as a support specialist in the advance planning department of a prominent Los Angeles memorial park, as well as experience in real estate, giving her a rare, wide-angle understanding of the diverse challenges families face after a death.

In addition to her one-on-one client work, Kelsey also hosts Unhappy Hour, a bi-weekly social gathering for people navigating grief. The gathering offers space for connection, honesty, and humor, giving members of the grieving community a chance to bond, feel less isolated, and remember they don’t have to carry everything alone.

About The After Loss Company

  • We believe no one should have to face the fog of loss alone. Our mission is to walk with people through the hard, hidden work that comes after a death and offer structure, support, and real-life help when it’s needed most. We aim to be a solution for the unfortunate part of life no one prepares us for.

  • While I would love to be a true one-stop-shop for all after-loss matters, I am not a replacement for many of the necessary services needed after a loss.

    • I am a not grief counselor or therapist.

    • We are not attorneys (estate, probate, or otherwise).

    • We are not accountants or financial advisors.

    • We do not offer proxy services to be able to close accounts and handle other affairs on your behalf.

Consider us to be more like your after-loss personal assistant that can help you get many things done that need doing while also being the hub in the after-loss wheel - connecting you to the information, resources, and other professionals you may need to move forward on a variety of decisions and tasks.

What we can do are a variety of things involving organization, coordination, planning, researching, writing, scheduling, arranging, communicating, sorting, and supporting. — always with presence, compassion, and no judgment.

  • After a death, people often get information, but not much hands-on help.

That’s where we come in. The After Loss Company provides practical, personalized support that meets you in real life: handling paperwork, researching and tracking down what you need, organizing tasks and timelines, coordinating details, and helping connect the dots with other professionals or services. It’s practical support to reduce the mental load and the logistical burden, so you can spend less time managing chaos and more time taking care of yourself and your people.

  • We envision a world where no one has to navigate the aftermath of loss alone. And while we don’t have much control over the amount of tasks and responsibilities required after loss, we will always strive to make those things less complicated and more manageable.

In the future, we hope to expand our offerings to include:

    • A network of trained After Loss Specialists in cities across the country

    • A pay-it-forward fund to provide free or reduced-fee services to those in need.

    • Gift certificates available for purchase so you can send your griever something that’s actually helpful instead of flowers

    • Pre-planning services, tools, and workshops for individuals and families

    • Resources for professionals working with grieving clients

    • In-house Notary services included in our offerings so there’s one less service provider you have to hire

This is just the beginning — and we’re building it one thoughtful step at a time.
